Our approaches :
Theory of change
Mainly our theory of change focuses on:
(1) Individuals as they need to be supported to have the resources, skills, knowledge and confidence to live a life of dignity and secure their basic rights;
(2)Communities as they need to be mobilized and leaders and influencers need to be engaged to build sustainable and resilient communities.
Networking with other partners
Our strategic plan therefore targets stakeholders at all four levels:
Citizens, through:
- Increasing knowledge and awareness about different policies and procedures especially
agricultural and food security related policies, programs and procedures;
- Increasing knowledge and awareness of existing structures for engagement and the benefits
of engaging with different policies especially agricultural policy processes; and
- Increasing awareness of individual and communities’ environment and priorities especially ones concerning agriculture and food security.
Communities, through:
- Supporting existing communities to increase citizens’ involvement in different policies;
- Supporting and strengthening feedback mechanisms between communities and local authorities;
- Enabling communities to analyze different policies like agricultural policies as many people
are fed with agriculture practice.
- Increasing Information sharing and policy or program dialogues; and
- Increasing the capacity of communities to perform food security vulnerability analysis and propose corrective actions.
CSO’s, through:
- Facilitating exchange of expertise during technical working groups and other relevant fora created at district level.
Local government Leaders, through:
- Increasing capacity and skills in inclusive and participatory planning and budgeting
